The CARIBBEAN MUSEUM CENTER FOR THE ARTIS, INC. on the Waterfront in ST. CROIX is honored to announce that the Governor and Lt. Governor’s wives, Cecile deJonge and Cheryl Francis are the HONORARY CHAIRS AND BOARD MEMBERS OF THE MUSEUM CENTER and will CUT THE RIBBON/S to OPEN THE GRAND SALON – the 2nd floor galleries at # 10 STRAND STREET and 62 KING STREET, FREDERIKSTED, on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 6:30 pm, HONORARY FOR THE 1st ISLAND ART & SOUL GALA.

After 4 years of reconstruction and restoration, the MUSUEM CENTER will finally be able to combine a Museum and Community Center and continue to host the myriad of programs and events that began in November 2003 when the Museum Center gained possession of the 1780 structure.
