Kebra Kaza, 16, is a junior at the St. Croix Educational Complex High School and is in her first year of the culinary program at the St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center. Born in St. Croix, Kebra left island at a young age and attended school in New York and then North Carolina. Her summers, however, were primarily spent with family in St. Croix. Kebra’s St. Croix roots tugged at her; In August 2019, with the support of her Mom, Step-Dad and four siblings, she left her family and home in North Carolina to embark on her desired journey to graduate from High School in St. Croix. She loves to work with her hands and is searching for her passion through her studies in culinary arts and visual arts. Kebra is also a member of the 340 Women’s Soccer Club and has represented the Virgin Islands in the Youth National Team programs.
