Workshop: Age 12 and Up Workshop: 10am-12pm. ***You need to bring ONE piece of clothing to dye: shirt, skirt, pants, OR dress. 100% cotton. Rayon will work. Check your label. Polyester and other Blends will make your colors muted and is NOT recommended. Discover the art of adire (tie dyeing) in this engaging workshop led by Tolulope "Jasmine" Adegoke, our Artist-in-Residence from Nigeria. Explore a variety of traditional and contemporary dyeing techniques, including spiral, folding, marbling, pleating, and knotting. Jasmine will guide you through the creative process, helping you transform your clothing into vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces of art using natural dyes from Nigeria. Please note there is a wait time from dyeing to rinsing.
