Service Description

Age 16-Adults 6:00pm-7:30pm St. Gerard's Hall, St. Patrick, Frederiksted June 11, 18, 25 Mrs. Lacy Hodge will teach a class to give the dancer a sense of balance while performing the different techniques in the CMCArts Dance Series. This will encompass Modern, Jazz and African Dance Forms. Male & Female participants are welcome to join. All skill levels are welcome to join. What to Wear: Comfortable clothes are required for this class. Bring: Water About the Instructor: Mrs. Lacy Hodge is an original company member of the Ko-Thi Dance Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ko-Thi will be celebrating their 55th year in existence on May 5th of 2024. She danced and toured with Ko-Thi for over 15 years under the direction of Ferne Caulker, founder and director. Formerly a dance major at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee along with teaching African Dance from 1972 to present. Currently she heads up the Alumni Organization of Ko-Thi where she writes the Alumni Newsletter and performs whenever she is in Milwaukee. Mrs. Lacy Hodge was the Business Manager for Harold Hodge Heavy Equipment for 30 years along with being the owner of Hodge Farm Orange Grove as a farmer and raising poultry. In 2018 she was selected as Livestock Farmer of the Year with the Department of Agriculture. Presently she is working as the Assistant Director of the Dance Series program at the Caribbean Museum along with Jessica Parker White.
