Tuesday, March 18 4:45-5:45pm $10 St. Gerard's Hall, Frederiksted next to St. Patrick's School Register. Get ready to move, shake, and have fun! Salsa is a lively dance that started in the Caribbean and grew in New York City. In this exciting class, Rodney will teach you the basic steps in a fun and easy way—no experience needed! You’ll learn cool moves, feel the rhythm, and impress your friends on the dance floor. Come dance with us and let’s salsa! Instructor Rodney Lopez, CMCArts Artist-in-Residence: Rodney Eric López is an accomplished educator, artist, and non-profit leader. His diverse professional background includes successful tenures in teaching artistry, training, coaching and facilitation, corporate communications and public relations, and nonprofit leadership. Featured in the hit documentary Mad Hot Ballroom, Rodney fosters teamwork and collaboration with high energy and easy-to-follow social dance classes, and facilitates thought-provoking workshops on giving, fundraising, and values-based leadership. He is a board member of New Urban Arts and the Providence Public Library and is a proud member of the Rhode Island Foundation's Equity Leadership Initiative. Rodney holds a B.S. in Communications Studies from New York University where he was a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholar. He holds a certificate in Spiritual Entrepreneurship from the Glean Network and Venture for All Program at Columbia Business School. Bring Water Wear clothes that you can move in.
