Age 10-17 FREE Time: 4pm-5:30pm Mondays:. November 6, 13, 20, 27 . December 4, 11 Wednesdays: November 1, 8, 15, (off on 22 for Thanksgiving), 29. December: 6, 13 Our after-school program runs Mondays & Wednesdays. We are flexible as some participants can't commit to both days due to other after-school activities. Explore Fashion Design and Sewing in Part 3 of CMCArts Children's Parade Troupe After-School Workshop Series In this exciting workshop series, participants will delve into the world of fashion design and sewing, guided by Annette Gordon, Lucy "Grandma Lucy" Gomez, Cecile Harrington, and Mary-Ann McGriff as participants will be making their own Carnival costumes for this year's parade. Here's what's in store for you in the third part of our workshop series: Conceptualize Children's Parade Costumes: Participants have already brainstormed and developed their unique concepts for this year's Children's Parade. Now, it's time to turn those ideas into reality. Pattern Creation & Sewing: Participants will learn how to create patterns and learn the art of sewing. Transform your concepts into beautifully crafted costumes. Participants will get to hand sew and work on a sewing machine guided by our expert instructors. December Dance Preparation: In December, our troupe will work with a dedicated dance instructor to prepare for the Children's Parade, scheduled for January 5, 2024.
