It’s A Matter of Birds: A one woman show by St. Croix artist Toni Lance reveals the artist’s passion for birds in detailed, life-like paintings, and personality revealing photographs of her avian subjects. Many of the paintings are matted in marbleized paper from the artist’s collection, and the frames have been individually crafted for each picture, so that every painting, is presented as a complete, jewel-like piece of art.

Toni’s passion for birds has also found expression as founder of the St. Croix Avian Sanctuary, and over the last 38 years she has rehabilitated hundreds of St. Croix’s injured indigenous and migrating birds, many of whom have become the subjects of her paintings and photographs.
