While the Virgin Islands celebrates the anniversary of emancipation on July 3rd each year, there is also the American celebration of independence of this nation on July 4th. As we celebrate events from throughout the past where peoples have fought for and won freedoms, our goal is to have those dialogues woven with threads of future freedoms; how do we maintain those freedoms and how do we solidify them for future generations. We believe that if we take our freedoms for granted, we fall at risk of losing them, and so, we are committing to an annual deep dive into the…
