DJ KAZZ will spin serious tunes for serious times and some jams too.

The audience will be treated to live performances of students writing both prose and poetry. St. Croix Educational Complex drama club members and their peers from other schools will give you a window into what young people are thinking. What happens when you give the youth a mic? Much of the featured work was created over the course of the semester in an after-school program.

The newest work focuses on the upcoming 175th Emancipation Celebration is  born out of a culminating two-week project with Jamaican-Brooklyn  poet and musician Tai Allen, CMCArts Artist-in-Residence and Complex High School Drama Teacher Sayeeda Carter.

This is a FREE EVENT but donations are welcomed by CMCArts to assist with future education programs.
