About the Event
During this special reading and lecture, the author will showcase the lives and works of six featured artists, including Camille Pissarro of St. Thomas, Francisco Oller of Puerto Rico, Frederic Church and Marianne North who visited Jamaica, Winslow Homer who traveled often to the Bahamas, and Sybil Atteck from Trinidad.
Through vivid storytelling and historical insight, this presentation will illuminate how these painters captured the landscapes, cultures, and spirit of the Caribbean in their art.
