Saturdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm Dates: October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and November 7 Age 16-Adults This 6-week class is for beginners who have never used a pottery wheel. You will learn the basics of throwing a pot on the wheel and you will have a creation(s) to take home at the end of class. 5 throwing classes; 1 glaze class. All materials included. Firing fees will be charged based on size of work. About the Instructor: Sara Lee Hayes is a self-taught artist/potter living on St. Croix in the USVI for 40 years. She graduated from Wheaton College (MA) in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies. Her pottery training began in 1974 with adult education classes at a local high school and has continued with books and videos, trial and error, and lots of practice. She is the clay studio manager at CMCArts and co-founder of Crucian Clayworks.
