Cork & Clay: Finding Balance Age 18+ Friday, March 6 6:00pm-8:30pm Enter 67 King Street (Gate to CMCArts Courtyard Join us for March’s Cork & Clay at CMCArts, where we’re celebrating balance, renewal, and creative calm. You’ll hand-build a round tray and decorate it with a mandala design inspired by the Spring Equinox — a symbol of harmony, wholeness, and new beginnings - whatever represents your style. We’ll guide you through easy mandala techniques using colorful underglazes, then we’ll clear-glaze and fire your piece for a glossy finish. 🍷 Sip, relax, and let your creativity flow 🎨 Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike ✨ A meaningful, meditative way to welcome the equinox *Each participant will get to choose a glass of white or red wine to enjoy during the art making process or non-alcoholic drink. Instructor: Donna Prock Donna Rae is the founder and creative force behind St. Croix Pottery, a studio born from a deep passion for the craft and a journey of personal transformation. She first discovered pottery in 2018, falling in love with the creative process of shaping clay. In 2020, Donna's mother joined in the artistic journey, inspiring a deeper connection to the craft. After her passing in 2021, Donna took a brief pause to reflect and honor her memory. Retiring from a distinguished military career in 2022, Donna chose to follow the call of the heart, returning to pottery with renewed purpose. St. Croix Pottery was born out of this fresh start. Today, her work reflects a balance of form, function, and deep personal meaning. Each piece carries a story—shaped by both the hands and the heart. Through St. Croix Pottery, she continues to explore new techniques, celebrate creativity, and honor the memory of a shared artistic journey with a mother who will always be an inspiration.
