Sundays from 10:00am to 1:00pm October 4, 11, 18, 25, & November 1 Age 16-Adults This 5-week class is designed for students of clay who have some experience throwing pots on the wheel. You will have the opportunity to learn to make something new, a new technique, or to just hone your skill, working from where your skills start. All levels are welcome; I will work with you on whatever you may need to improve your potting skills. 4 throwing classes; 1 glaze class. About the Instructor: Sara Lee Hayes is a self-taught artist/potter living on St. Croix in the USVI for 40 years. She graduated from Wheaton College (MA) in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies. Her pottery training began in 1974 with adult education classes at a local high school and has continued with books and videos, trial and error, and lots of practice. She is the clay studio manager at CMCArts and co-founder of Crucian Clayworks.
