June: Tuesdays & Thursdays Age 13-18 Dates: June 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 Time: 9:00am-12:00pm 8 workshops for $60 Week 1 & Week 2 at CMCArts Courtyard (June 3, 5, 10, & 12) Week 3 & Week 4 on Location (June 17, 19, 24 & 26) Join Toronto-based muralist Jasmin Pannu for a vibrant, hands-on art experience this June! Over the course of four exciting weeks, participants will build their painting skills, develop their creative voice, and collaborate on a full-scale community mural. 🖌️ Week 1: Collaboration & Experimentation at CMCArts We’ll kick things off with fun and interactive creative exercises to warm up our sketching and painting skills. As a group, we’ll brainstorm and design the concept for our collaborative mural. 🎨 Week 2: Personal Projects at CMCArts This week is all about exploration and self-expression. Each participant will create a small personal canvas painting, helping us build confidence and artistic style before we unite on the mural. 📐 Week 3: Mural Design & Prep at Mural Location Time to go big! We’ll dive into the logistics of mural-making—learning how to scale, sketch, and prep the wall. Then, we’ll begin laying down base colors for our collaborative masterpiece. 🌈 Week 4: Mural Creation & Reveal at Mural Location The final stretch! We’ll work together to bring our mural to life, combining everyone's talents and energy. We’ll wrap up with a celebratory mural reveal to showcase the amazing work we’ve created as a team. About the Instructor: Jasmin Pannu is an award-winning artist who has created projects ranging from murals, to canvas works and digital product design for clients such as Lancome, Fritolay, Footlocker, UPS, City of Toronto, Nike and more. Her art practice is diverse in style and tools- picking up everything from a henna cone to acrylics, spray paints and ink to develop aesthetics that intrigue, bring beauty and create connection. She loves to teach when she can. The main intent around everything in her art studio is to produce works that challenges, creates and transforms- people, spaces and moments.
