Age 7-14 Tuesday, November 18 4:45-5:45pm St. Gerard's Hall next to St. Patrick's School Music In Motion School of Higher Dance Education, directed by Founder and Artistic Director Charlita Schuster, presents the "HEAL 4 Dance" project classical ballet presentation. Using the Russian ballet technique of the Vaganova Method Ballet Syllabus with French terminology, bringing the beauty of ballet to life. The technique will be taught at the ballet barre, center floor, and diagonal across the floor. With passion and precision, filling the room with joy and movement, culminating in a truly unforgettable experience. What to Wear: All dancers should wear dance attire that is flexible to move and stretch with comfort. Leggings. Tights and Leotards are a perfect fit for the body. Ballet shoes, or socks, are recommended. Hanging jewelry, bracelets, or a wristwatch is not recommended. Hair back away from the face and off the neck would help to make all movements safer. Bring Water About the instructor: Charlita Schuster is the visionary founder and Artistic Director of Music In Motion School of Higher Dance Education, known for her profound impact on the dance community for the past 43 years, is located on the Island of St.Croix. Schuster studied ballet with the Children's Ballet Theater in Carnegie Hall, Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Alley American Dance Theater, and Mary Anthony Moden Dance Company in New York City. Schuster began her professional dance career with the City Ballet Company of Honolulu and Ballet Florida in West Palm Beach, Florida. She has trained hundreds of dancers throughout the V.I. and the Caribbean. Schuster carries many titles. As a Ballet Dance mistress, stage production producer, choreographer, costume designer, ballet story writer, and Pageant Coach. Some of her works that she created were World Premieres Ballets such as Cinderella and the Enchanted Wedding, I Have a Dream, an African Ballet, the life story of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., 'Water Dancers of Creque Dame', Cotton Club, A Taste of Broadway, and, most recently," The Christmas Spectacular". Ms. Schuster received over a hundred community service awards and recognitions for her work and dedication to the community in the Virgin Islands. Her dream was to serve her community and implement an open-door policy to underserved communities. Music In Motion has been named the "Safe Haven" for all genders and young, talented artists, and continues to build a diverse community dance.
